Oxford (Miss.). Ole Miss Rebels. 5. 841. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oct. 24

The  Tigers will have to keep the momentum going  and get ready for a trip to Mississippi to take on another upstart team in the Ole Miss Rebels.

There’s a lot of optimism surrounding the Rebels after bringing in Lane Kiffin to be the new head coach and fans are hoping he can return them to the winning ways they experienced under Hugh Freeze.

Ole Miss will be hoping that sophomore quarterback John-Rhys Plumlee can make the strides he needs to as a passer, after completing only 51 percent of his passes last season and was much more effective as a runner. The big question for the Rebels will be fixing a defense that ranked 120th against the pass last season.

Kiffin will get the Rebels trending in the right direction, but this game will be a fifth straight Auburn victory in this SEC West series.

Final Score: Auburn 45, Ole Miss 24 (4-1)

Oct. 31. 817. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Auburn (Ala.). LSU Tigers. 6. player

One of the premier games in the SEC every season, LSU and Auburn will meet on Halloween, when there should be plenty on the line.

Alabama is the perceived favorite in the SEC West and the SEC overall heading into 2020 and it will be interesting to see who will be their main challenger in the division. Auburn, LSU and Texas A&M all have their case to make and all will have their chance to prove it.

LSU is undergoing massive turnover after their magical season in 2019 and it will be fascinating to see where this team will be at this point in the season. It has won three straight in the series and 4-of-5 overall.

Auburn’s defense gave LSU the most trouble last season and were painfully close to pulling the upset. How LSU’s new quarterback Myles Brennan is adjusted at this point in the season will be the deciding factor for the Tigers and Bo Nix will outplay him by the slimmest of margins.

Expect a classic out on the plains

Final Score: Auburn 27, LSU 20 (5-1)
