826. Oct. 3. Boston College Eagles. Chestnut Hill (Mass.). 3. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

North Carolina will take its first road trip of the season to Chestnut Hill to take on a rebuilding Boston College squad. The Eagles will be looking to see if they can improve after firing former coach Steve Addazio for not being able to break past the 7-5 barrier and be a serious contender in the Atlantic.

Boston College is turning to former Ohio State defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley to lead the program and he has a good reputation as a recruiter and defensive strategist.

There is some talent for the Eagles, but they will have to replace AJ Dillon and Anthony Brown. Couple that with a new coaching staff, and it is not hard to see the Eagles struggling a lot in 2020.

Boston College is trending in the right direction but 2020 will be tough.

Final Score: North Carolina 45, Boston College 20 (3-0, 2-0)

Pick Analysis. Oct. 10. Chapel Hill (N.C.). Virginia Tech Hokies. 4. Scouting Report. 847. player

The Hokies are bringing back an experienced team that is looking to see how much it can improve with quarterback Hendon Hooker ready to be the starter for the whole season.

Head coach Justin Fuente is under a little bit of pressure to deliver a big season after struggling in the seasons since winning the division in 2016 and with a mass amount of players deciding to transfer in recent seasons.

With the game being in Chapel Hill, I’m giving the edge to the Tar Heels in this one. Virginia Tech will be without long-time defensive coordinator Bud Foster and I think that could be a big difference for this program. Expect a great game with the winner having a lot of momentum towards having a spot in the ACC title game versus Clemson.

Final Score: North Carolina 35, Virginia Tech 31 (4-0, 3-0)
