Pick Analysis. Oct. 17. Scouting Report. Tallahassee (Fla.). Florida State Seminoles. 5. player. 804

The Tar Heels will travel to Tallahassee for the first time since 2016, when North Carolina upset the Seminoles on a last-second field goal. Florida State will be on its third coach in as many seasons and are hoping that former Memphis head coach Mike Norvell can return the program to contending for ACC titles.

Florida State returns some of the ACC’s best talent with wide receiver Tamorrion Terry and defensive tackle Marvin Wilson. However, some of the Seminoles’ biggest issues from the past couple of years are still question marks with the offensive line and quarterback being the main focus.

Norvell is the guy for the Seminoles, but as I just said, the offensive line and quarterback are still big questions marks for this team, despite good talent elsewhere on the team. Florida State can win this game, but North Carolina finds a way on the road to avoid the upset.

Final Score: North Carolina 35, Florida State 27 (5-0, 4-0)

North Carolina will continue the 2020 campaign with another in-state rival.

The Wolfpack are another ACC team looking to have a bounce-back season, after slipping to a 4-8 record under coach Dave Doeren last season. The Wolfpack were plagued by poor and inconsistent quarterback play, which is uncharacteristic of Doeren as he’s known to develop them.

The Wolfpack may not be better than they were a year ago and could be one of the worst teams in the conference in 2020. That won’ t be favorable against a surging North Carolina team.

Final Score: North Carolina 52, NC State 24 (6-0, 5-0)
