LSU Football: 3 reasons Tigers will win SEC title without Ja’Marr Chase

2. Myles Brennan is the perfect leader
News coming out of LSU has been nothing but good about Myles Brennan, who is every bit of the strong leader he was advertised to be coming out of high school.
A four-star prospect and the No. 4 quarterback coming out of Saint Stanislaus High in Mississippi, Brennan had offers from Kentucky, California, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Wisconsin (among others). He participated in the Under Armour All-American Game, as well as the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game, The Opening finals and the Elite 11 finals.
Now a redshirt junior, Brennan has waited for his turn behind Joe Burrow and learned from him. Both coaches and people close to the team have nothing but praise for Brennan and his leadership.
In fact, Brennan continued the tradition, started by Joe Burrow, of leading the team through players-only practices before the coaches were allowed to start training their teams during the offseason.
Brennan is ready to be the starter, and while he probably won’t be a future first-round pick, he will be able to work within the offense and lead LSU to the SEC title game.
