South Carolina football: Updated game-by-game predictions for 2020
Another week, another big-time SEC team that the Gamecocks will have to face. After last season’s historic showing, LSU will be looking to repeat and by this time in October with all of the new starters on both offense and defense, they should be rolling as well.
The game is in Death Valley as well and I just can’t see the Gamecocks going into LSU and pulling out a win here, despite all of the talent gone off last season’s historic LSU team.
Final Score: South Carolina 21, LSU 42 (1-4)
After a bye week, this will be yet another challenging home game for the Gamecocks. Texas A&M was another team who was the victim of their schedule last season losing to Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn and LSU last season. Yeah, that’s a tough schedule.
The Aggies return Kellen Mond and are bringing in back to back top-five signing classes under head coach Jimbo Fisher. This could be a potential upset spot because I think Mond is overrated and Williams-Brice Stadium is a tough place to play, fans or not.
The Aggies walk into Columbia and come out alive and the pressure will continue to mount on Will Muschamp.
Final Score: South Carolina 24, Texas A&M 27 (1-5)
