Winston-Salem (N.C.). Wake Forest Demon Deacons. 889. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Sept. 12. 1

The first game of the year will also be a conference game for the Tigers, Clemson will travel to Wake Forest to try and earn yet another win in the ACC. Wake Forest has been a respectable program under head coach Dave Clawson, as they have posted four straight winning seasons and will be looking to make it five in 2020.

The big news was that quarterback Jamie Newman decided to transfer to Georgia this offseason and star wide receiver Sage Surratt decided that he would sit this season out and focus on preparing for the NFL draft.

Wake Forest will need to be better on offense against the Tigers, as they haven’t scored more than 20 points against Clemson since 2014 and have not scored a touchdown in two seasons and have not beaten them since 2008. Clemson will roll and make it 12 in a row versus Wake Forest.

Final Score: Clemson 49, Wake Forest 14 (1-0, 1-0 ACC)

A week after their season opener at Wake Forest, Clemson will return to Death Valley for their easiest game of the year. The big thing to take away from this game is Clemson making sure they come away from this game with no injuries.

Final Score: Clemson 52, The Citadel 0 (2-0)
