The Cowboys come in as a preseason favorite in the Big 12 and are ranked No. 15 in the country. Most of last year’s team is back including preseason first-team All-American running back Chuba Hubbard and second-team senior wide receiver Tylan Wallace. Sophomore quarterback Spencer Sanders appears to be ready to lead the team after seeing action last season.

Last year, Brock Purdy played one of his worst games of the season against OSU by throwing three interceptions. He should play better this time, but the question is whether Iowa State can contain the Cowboy offense.

Luckily, the Cyclones have a bye week before this game to get ready.

Iowa State gets either a late score or a stop and wins by one possession.

Final Score: Iowa State 45, Oklahoma State 38 (3-2, 2-2)

The “Mad Hatter” Les Miles always seems to have an ace up his sleeve. Add to the fact that this game is on Halloween, and things might get spooky.

Did you also know that Kansas actually has two preseason All-Big 12 team members with running back Pooka Williams and senior receiver Andrew Parchment?

However, outside of that, they are generally expected to finish last in the conference this year, and their defense is a huge liability.

Unfortunately, Kansas also has an artificial turf field which means Les Miles cannot stop for a mid-game Scooby snack, thus rendering him unable to make the crucial half-time adjustments needed to pull off the upset.

Final Score: Iowa State 35, Kansas 14 (4-2, 3-2)
