How will Oklahoma football fare in 2020?

  • Game 1: vs. Missouri State (W) — You are out of your mind if you think the Sooners have any chance of losing this one. Sooners go one for one in non-conference games.
  • Game 2: vs. Kansas State (W) — The Sooners’ offense is on full display as they take on the Wildcats and move to 2-0 on the season with a blowout win.
  • Game 3: at Iowa State (W) — The Cyclones know how to play upset and spoil a team’s season and keep it close for 45 minutes but the Sooners’ offense is too much.
  • Game 4: vs. Texas (W) — Do you like points? Well, I have a game for you. The Longhorns have their fair share of leads in this game but the Sooners prevail with a last-minute score.
  • Game 5: at TCU (W) — Is TCU on the decline? Possibly. It will definitely show in this one as Oklahoma handles business on the road for win number five.
  • Game 6: at Texas Tech (W) — The Red Raiders will be better than most expect this season. A few early forced turnovers and they could steal this one. However, that will not be the case as the Sooners win by 10.
  • Game 7: vs. Kansas (W) — The Jayhawks are still a year or so away from being taken serious but with Les Miles at head coach, who knows? Either way, Sooners win BIG in this one.
  • Game 8: vs. Oklahoma State (L) — The Sooners’ biggest threat to winning another Big 12 title is their in-state rival, the Oklahoma State Cowboys. An instant classic has the Sooners picking up their first loss of 2020.
  • Game 9: at West Virginia (W) — The Sooners will come out swinging in this one and will hit several home runs early. Sooners bounce back in blowout fashion.
  • Game 10: vs. Baylor (W) — Baylor had a huge lead over the Sooners last year but blew the upset victory. The Bears will keep things interesting again this year but the Sooners close out the regular season with a win.

Prediction: 9-1, 8-1 Big 12

Oklahoma’s 2020 season will be like it has the past several seasons. While the Big 12 is getting more competitive, it is tough to pick against the Sooners until someone else from the conference can take them down in convincing fashion.

Oklahoma State poses as the biggest threat to the Sooners run at another Big 12 title in terms of head-to-head matchups. But even if the Cowboys do win, can they avoid going through 2020 with more than one loss? I don’t think so.

The Oklahoma Sooners win the Big 12 once again, even with one loss, and depending on the rest of the college football, will have a good shot at qualifying for another spot in the playoff.
