3. Clemson’s defensive line just reloaded

Over the past 4-5 seasons, Clemson has produced some of the top-tier defensive linemen year in and year out for the NFL draft. Bringing pressure to Wake Forest was not an issue on Saturday.

Sam Hartman was constantly pressured and gotten sacked on five separate occasions. A question was how the freshman duo of Bryan Bresee and Myles Murphy would fare. Murphy had three sacks in the contest, while Bresee recorded a sack and was stuffing the run, when he was in the game.

With other experienced players like Justin Foster and Nyles Pinckney, it’s really important to have depth along the defensive line. If tonight is a sign of anything, Clemson’s front four should continue being the force it has been over the past 3-4 seasons.
