1. Missed opportunities and inexperience killed Wake Forest offense

While Clemson got everyone in on the fun, Wake Forest had a hard time of finding a lot of people in the passing game. Sam Hartman was barely over 50 percent completing passes and had zeroes in the touchdown and interception categories.

Wake Forest receivers had at least four dropped passes, two of which were the receiver was wide open down field.

With many of teams struggling in Week 1, Wake Forest was hoping to not be added to that list.

When you play a team like Clemson, however, your best games just might not be good enough.

For Clemson, they will be playing their lone non-conference opponent as they head back to Death Valley to play The Citadel. For Wake Forest, they will be traveling to Raleigh to play the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
