2. Micale Cunningham is the real deal

Coming into the season, many Cardinals fans wondered if Scott Satterfield would go with previous starter Jawon “Puma” Pass or Micale Cunningham who finished out last season with a win and the MVP award in the Music City Bowl. He decided to go with Cunningham and he showed why coach made the right decision.

In the first half, Cunningham made multiple plays downfield proving he can indeed be a polished passer, accounting for over 200 yards with the biggest play being a 70-yard bomb to Marshon Ford for a touchdown.

Cunningham had an amazing performance, finishing the night with four touchdowns, three in the air and one on the ground.

Keep an eye out for Micale this season as he may be a low-end sleeper pick for the Heisman Trophy if his two main weapons, Javian Hawkins and Tutu Atwell continue to assist him in the offense and he can remain a feared dual-threat option heading into ACC play.
