1. Clemson Tigers (1-0)

The Clemson Tigers are on a mission this season. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence wants to make people forget about his performance in last season’s national yitle game by far his worst performance while at Clemson. This team was embarrassed by LSU and they want to prove they are better than their championship performance.

They started their season in dominant fashion against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Lawrence looked crisp in his first game o the season without Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross. Travis Etienne put in a typical Travis Etienne performance. What was most impressive about the game was it was very business-like.

The defense overmatched and overwhelmed the Deacons offense. As expected Clemson dominated in the trenches smothering the Wake Forest running game and harassing Sam Hartman all game long.

The Tigers did not fool around in this game. They jumped out to a commanding 27-0 lead at halftime. By the end of the third quarter, most of the reserves were in for the Tigers. Expect this sort of attitude from Clemson all season long. There will be no sleepwalking or ROY buses this season. They’ll be heavy favorites every game this season except for the Notre Dame game.

The way the Tigers looked against the Demon Deacons, Notre Dame might not have enough for the Tigers.
