2. Tulsa’s front-seven may be among the best in the AAC

The task of limiting Doak Walker finalist Chuba Hubbard is something very few teams have been able to do. Regardless of Oklahoma State’s offensive line, it was Tulsa’s group up front that was outstanding

Lead by Zaven Collins, it was other players like sophomore defensive tackle Jaxon Player and end Cullen Wick that made an imprint on this game. Oklahoma State mightily struggled to run the football and the quarterbacks of Spencer Sanders and Ethan Bullock were under duress.

Tulsa had six sacks on the Cowboys and made sure Mike Gundy could not get any offensive production. To put the sacks number into perspective, Tulsa had 14 sacks in all of 2019 and nearly got half of that in just one game.

Constantly filling holes against Hubbard and L.D. Brown, along with harassing the quarterbacks all day, shows this group could be the best in the conference.
