2. Alabama Crimson Tide (0-0)

Through the first three weeks of the season, the SEC has seen Power Five teams either lose in shocking upsets or barely survive. This served as a warning sign for the SEC, including the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide, be warned about the poor preparations and late start to their season.

This week, the SEC will get their turn to kick off the season as they will start a 10-game schedule of conference-only play. The Crimson Tide will travel this Saturday to face the Missouri Tigers, who are a complete rebuild with a new head coach.

Alabama is coming off a “disappointing” 11-2 season where it missed the College Football Playoff for the first time when the system started in 2014.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Crimson Tide are stout with a vast number of dynamic playmakers. They will have a loaded up offensive line and Heisman Trophy contending running back Najee Harris as well as an explosive passing game led by wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle.

Their defense looks to return a top 10 scoring unit after being ranked 13th in the nation in points allowed (18.6) in 2019.

The Tide will have to endure a tough season composed of SEC-only teams, but they will avoid having to play No. 5 Florida. This season will feel like a revenge tour as they look to win the SEC for the first time since 2018 and get back into the playoff.
