2. Leddie Brown is a top 10 back in college football

This overreaction swings the complete other way than the last, but it’s true: Leddie Brown is a problem. A good problem for West Virginia, but a bad one for opponents. He’s more than just a top back in the Big 12 — he’s a top 10 back in all of college football.

In two games this season, Brown’s totaled 227 yards and two touchdowns on 36 carries. He’s eclipsed 100 yards in each game while averaging 6.3 yards per carry; he’s also added 24 yards and a score through the air.

All of this is coming after his sophomore campaign when he tallied just 367 rushing yards on 107 carries. That’s just a 3.4 average! The improvement isn’t his alone, but Brown’s also been rumbling through tacklers to pick up extra yards. If he’s able to continue this production — and the play-calling continues to include him — Brown could be in line for an All-Big 12 selection in 2020, in addition to being named one of the best backs in the country.
