4. Florida Gators (1-0)

Two colossal events happened in Week 4 for the Florida Gators. The first was the removal of the LSU Tigers and Sooners from major consideration for the College Football Playoff. The second was the move into the top four among many college football experts.

This past Saturday, the Gators beat Ole Miss 51-35 in Oxford, Miss.

Gators quarterback Kyle Trask put himself into the Heisman Trophy conversation as he threw for 416 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions on 30-of-42 completions. His tight end in Kyle Pitts caught eight passes for 170 yards and four touchdowns. The offense accounted for 642 total yards with 446 of those yards coming from the passing game.

There is a lot of work to be on the defensive side of the ball for the Gators as they gave up 613 yards to a highly-productive Rebels offense. Most of the points for Ole Miss came in the second half.

Florida is currently ranked No. 3 in the AP Top 25 and the Coaches Poll after its huge win over Ole Miss. The Gators will have to endure a tough SEC-only schedule as well as the conference title game likely against No. 2 Alabama.

Even if the Gators lose their only game to the Crimson Tide in the conference title game, there is a very good chance that they might be one of the final four teams selected depending on how dominant they are throughout the 2020 season.
