3. Miami Hurricanes (3-0, 2-0)

Here at headquarters everyone knows how dangerous it is to say that Miami is back to being “The “U”. If we say it, well, you know what happens. Remember Nov. 11? In 2017, the Hurricanes routed the Fighting Irish 41-8. Everyone was ready for “The U” to be back.

The Hurricanes proceeded to lose three of their next four and have not played for the ACC title since. This season, the Hurricanes are off to their best start since 2017, welp. D’Eriq King has been the steady hand at quarterback the ‘Canes have needed this season throwing six touchdowns and no interceptions. The running back by committee, led by Cam’Ron Harris, has been productive.

The offensive line has been much improved and both Brevin Jordan and Mark Pope have been as advertised. Defensively, the duo of Quincy Roche and former number one player in the country Jaelan Phillips have been disruptive rush ends. The back end of the defense has held up well too.

This week begins the gauntlet for Miami. They get Clemson on Oct. 10. Then they play Pitt and Virginia. We’ll see then just how “back” Miami is.
