1. Clemson Tigers (2-0, 1-0)

Everyone knows who and what the Clemson Tigers are. So far the Tigers have played The Citadel and Wake Forest. Neither one of those teams stood a chance against Clemson. Virginia does not have much of a chance against Clemson either. Junior quarterback Trevor Lawrence is not only playing well with high expectations, he’s thriving.

Lawrence’s completion percentage could be mistaken for a free throw percentage. The junior has more total touchdowns (10) than incomplete passes (7). Lawrence is proving that losing Justyn Ross is not as big as many thought. Running back Travis Etienne is doing his typical Travis Etienne thing. You know, 15 carries 125 yards and a touchdown or two.

This weekend the Tigers have the Miami Hurricanes. While few are giving the Hurricanes a change to win the game, everyone is curious to see if the Hurricanes can change with the Tigers. Though the Hurricanes are deep and athletic upfront, this is the best offensive line the Tigers have had under Dabo Swinney.

On the back end, it is speed versus speed. Conversely can the Miami offense sustain drives against a Clemson defense that is talented, but a bit inexperienced? The Miami offensive line is improved, however, this is the best defensive front the Miami O-line has seen.

It’s a measuring stick game for the Hurricane; let’s see how they measure.
