College Football: Predicting the worst team in Big Ten, Pac-12 in 2020
While some college football teams in the Big Ten and Pac-12 are dying to get out on the field, others might not be. These teams will struggle.
A few weeks ago, the Big Ten and the Pac-12 thought that they wouldn’t be playing football for at least another 365 days. As a Big Ten fan, watching these other schools play while my team is sidelined is one of the most painful things that I’ve had to experience in the sports world.
The impact of COVID-19 has gone beyond football, creating an extremely extended offseason. Not only has the offseason for these fanbases been long, but the nature of our lives during these times has made the 8 month period with no football feel closer to a full year.
But when the announcement came around that the Big Ten would return, I basically jumped out of my seat in excitement. Yes, I’m probably getting excited to see my Michigan State Spartans win 3 games, but at least I’d be able to watch something. And that’s the same position that almost half of these teams are in. Low on hope, but excited to watch their favorite sport nonetheless.
Today, I’ll be focusing on those exact teams. The low-tier teams that won’t be competitive in most of their games and won’t be making a bowl game anytime soon. Here is my worst team in the Big Ten and Pac-12 for 2020.
