College Football Rankings 2020: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 6
By Zach Bigalke
After Oklahoma dropped their second straight and Texas fell to the land of teams with Big 12 losses, Kansas State is going to vault up into the last spot of the AP Top 25. The Wildcats followed up their upset of the Sooners in Norman with a Week five takedown of Texas Tech, winning comfortably 31-21 over the Red Raiders to improve to 2-1 on the season and 2-0 in league play.
Deuce Vaughn churned out 113 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, and he also led the team in receiving with 81 yards and a score on three catches. It was a standout performance on a day where the stat sheet favored Texas Tech in many ways. The Red Raiders finished with more passing yards and more rushing yards, but they also lost one more turnover along the way.
A trip to Fort Worth awaits in Week 6, as Kansas State puts their perfect Big 12 record and their AP Top 25 ranking on the line against the TCU team that just toppled Texas.
