829. won 52-24 vs. #13 Texas A & M. Alabama Crimson Tide. 2. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 2-0. player

Alabama gave their fans a slight scare when they allowed Texas A&M to pull level at 14-14 early in the second quarter, but they quickly shook off the cobwebs at Bryant-Denny Stadium and rolled to a 52-24 Tide victory on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson Tide continue to struggle in the eyes of AP voters, continuing to hover far behind No. 1 Clemson in first-place votes — and even getting surpassed by returning Ohio State in first-place votes.

That won’t matter, as the Crimson Tide land on every ballot for another week and remain firmly locked behind the Tigers at No. 2 in the AP Top 25. Mac Jones put up another strong performance despite an interception, finishing 20-of-27 for 435 yards and four touchdowns. The ground game wasn’t great, as Najee Harris punched in two touchdowns but ended up with only 43 yards on 12 carries.

Still, Alabama was Alabama enough to continue getting the benefit of the doubt in a comparison that more than ever depends on subjective comparisons across very different conferences. So far The Process has worked for Nick Saban and crew, and they will look to continue their run of success next week against Ole Miss in Oxford.
