Rebels . 10. team. 841. . 1-1. Previous: 11th

The Ole Miss Rebels, after falling to Florida at the start of the SEC season, won a shootout this past weekend against Kentucky thanks to a missed extra point by the Wildcats. Matt Corral has been one of the better quarterbacks in the SEC with the help of a strong offense he has put up numbers, but his defense has prevented him from finding himself in the winner’s circle. However, things get really interesting for Ole Miss as Alabama is next up for the Rebels.

Bulldogs . 9. team. 893. . 1-1. Previous: 4th

Mississippi State falls five spots after falling to Arkansas 21-14. They knocked off LSU, ended the nation’s longest winning streak. They then turned around and lost to Arkansas, helping the Razorbacks end the nation’s longest conference losing streak. KJ Costello looked lost much of the game and threw three interceptions. It isn’t exactly looking good for Mississippi State who plays Kentucky in a week. I’m not sure which version of this team we will see on Saturday.

8. team. 873. . 1-1. Previous: 7th. Aggies

Texas A&M falls one spot after a loss to Alabama 52-24. They have struggled to start the year, only putting up 17 on Vanderbilt and then being absolutely clobbered by Alabama this past week. That was expected, of course, as Kellen Mond hasn’t exactly been great and his receiving corps has struggled to be consistent. The defensive line has been strong enough, but the secondary has struggled to do much of anything successful.

7. team. 844. . 1-1. Previous: 14th. Razorbacks

The Razorbacks jump seven spots after knocking off a Mississippi State team that beat LSU in the first week of SEC action. How good are Feleipe Franks and the Razorbacks? I’m still not too sure. However, they hung around with Georgia at least in the first half and now have knocked off Mike Leach, KJ Costello and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. They face Bo Nix in a week and that will tell us a lot about the Razorbacks.
