ACC Football Power Rankings, Week 6: Clemson shines, Pitt plummets

2. Miami Hurricanes (3-0, 2-0)
While the Irish have have been off television dealing with COVID-19 issues, the ACC and all of college football have borne witness to the rise of the Miami Hurricanes. Unlike last season where winning the offseason did not amount to much, the opposite has been true so far this season. Though understated, NFL Hall of Famer and Miami alum Ed Reed has had a positive effect on the culture of the Hurricanes.
The transfers the Hurricanes brought in have also been outstanding. D’Eriq King has been the steady hand at quarterback by both his on the field play as well as being a veteran leader the Hurricanes needed. Defensive ends and transfers Quincy Roche and Jaelan PHllips have been as advertised. Phillips is playing like the #1 recruit overcoming injuries.
Both the offense and defense has made strides this season. Offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee has tailored the game plan to King’s strength and he has not been shy about running the football behind an improved offensive line.
The Hurricanes get Clemson in what can only be considered a measuring stick game.
