 1. Clemson Tigers (3-0, 2-0)

Before the Big Ten decided to play this season, the Clemson Tigers were the prohibitive favorites to win the National Title this season. There was no team with more pressure coming into this unusual season. It was Alabama-like pressure for the Tigers. Clemson Tigers’ quarterback had more pressure than any player in the country this season. Trevor Lawrence is everyone’s No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft and Heisman Trophy favorite.

Lawrence came into this season without Tee Higgins who had left for the greener pastures of the NFL. Then came the news of Justyn Ross’ career threatening condition. Who would Lawrence target? Out of the gates, Lawrence has delivered. The true junior has used the pressure to prove to everyone that he’s deserving of all of the accolades this season.

Both Lawrence and the Tigers are on a mission. There is no sleepwalking this season. The Tigers have pounced on everyone they’ve played this season and — just in case anyone forgot — are the class of the ACC. This week, the Tigers face the upstart Miami Hurricanes.

Miami wants to prove they belong among the elite and Clemson wants to continue marching toward the playoff. We will see what the Hurricanes have against the Tigers.
