College Football 2020: 5 games with biggest playoff implications in Week 6
1. No. 7 Miami at No. 1 Clemson
The game of the week on Saturday is not only a fascinating opportunity for Miami to make a statement and show that they can contend with anyone, it is an opportunity for Clemson to show that they are the best team in the country.
Dominating the ACC has given Clemson few opportunities to play in many top-10 games, but that is what awaits the Tigers on Saturday. Clemson has two of the best players in the country in quarterback Trevor Lawrence and running back Travis Etienne and are two touchdown favorites over the Hurricanes on Saturday.
Don’t think the Hurricanes are scared of the Tigers, though. Armed with a Heisman contender at quarterback in D’Eriq King and a high-powered offense, the Hurricanes have been very impressive early on this season and look to take that next step as a program on Saturday night with a win over the Tigers.
The last two games in this series have not gone well for Miami. In 2015, Clemson came to Miami and gave the the worst defeat in program history winning 58-0. Then in 2017, Clemson dominated the Hurricanes yet again in the ACC title game winning 38-3.
The Hurricanes believe they can win this came and earn the biggest win in over 20 years for this program. Everyone should be tuned into this game on Saturday night.
