2. Clayton Tune’s progression is noticeable

Even with the interceptions, it’s apparent that Clayton Tune has progressed from last season. His two touchdown drives in the second quarter were long and methodical drives, both going for near four minutes.

There are still signs of why Tune has a ceiling, with his first interception, with his second being a Hail Mary right before halftime.

Tune’s progression and notice of check downs over deep passes makes Tune look good out of the pocket. Headlined by starting the second half passing 8-for-8 with two passing touchdowns.

If Tune continues to make throws like that and showcase of more of what he did in the second half, he’s going to keep the Cougars in some ball games.
