2. Defense will have an edge

The Gamecocks’ defensive line has struggled so far this season, but the Vanderbilt offense has struggled more (we’ll discuss that next). The Gamecocks were able to hold Florida to only 80 rushing yards last week, but they were unable to stop the Gators’ passing game and they were unable to stop the receivers when they caught the ball.

South Carolina will surely watch the tapes from the last two weeks and make improvements where they lacked. Players like Kingsley Enagbare, Israel Mukuamu and R.J. Roderick should not have any problems stopping the Vanderbilt offensive line.

This will be a good week for the Gamecocks to gain some confidence in themselves and stop Vanderbilt from putting points on the board.
