2. Feleipe Franks is a quarterback reborn

After his Florida career, it seemed like Feleipe Franks would just be a holdover quarterback for Sam Pittman and the Razorbacks.

Boy, were we wrong.

Through three games, Franks has looked like a quarterback with the fresh start he needed and he’s been more than just a game-manager but rather a kid who has taken over. He was fantastic against a good Auburn defense on Saturday, passing for 302 yards and a touchdown on 21-of-29 completions.

Pittman has to be pleasantly surprised by what he’s gotten from Franks this season and his veteran leadership kept the Razorbacks calm in a high-pressure situation on the road against the No. 13 team in the country.

It would have been so easy for Arkansas to throw in the towel when they fell behind 27-18 after a missed two-point conversion attempt to tie it followed by an Auburn touchdown, but Franks’ calm demeanor and solid play helped lead the Razorbacks back, taking a lead with just over five minutes left in the game.

Franks is a quarterback reborn and he’s helping this turnaround happen quicker than expected. Why did we ever doubt this kid?
