815. Pick Analysis. 2-2. won 53-45 (4OT) vs. No. 22 Texas (in Dallas). Oklahoma Sooners. 25. Scouting Report. player

Oklahoma stopped its two-game skid in Big 12 play in Week 6, knocking off No. 22 Texas in a four-overtime struggle at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday. The Sooners prevailed 53-45, when Spencer Rattler threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Drake Stoops and connected with Theo Wease for the two-point conversion on the opening possession of the final frame and then Tre Brown picked off Sam Ehlinger on the Longhorns’ drive to end the game.

Rattler finished 23-of-35 for 209 yards, with three touchdowns and an interception. The quarterback added 51 yards and a touchdown on the ground, while T.J. Pledger led the way out of the backfield with 131 yards and two scores on 22 carries. The Sooners defense turned Texas one-dimensional, forcing Ehlinger to account for essentially all of the offense whether passing or rushing.

Look for Lincoln Riley’s team to slot into one of the last few spots in the AP Top 25 this week, though they will still be ranked behind the Iowa State and Kansas State teams that dealt them their two losses. Oklahoma gets the chance to get a winning streak going in Week 7 when they face TCU in Fort Worth.
