Loser: LSU (Unranked)

My how the mighty have fallen.

LSU is a shell of its former self from last year and while that was expected, it’s jarring how bad the Tigers look right now. Their opening week loss to Mississippi State is looking worse by the minute and the fact that they lost to Missouri the way they did, there is clearly something wrong with the defending champs.

Bo Pelini has proven to be a disastrous hire to replace Dave Aranda as defensive coordinator and things look bleak for LSU at the moment with games against Alabama, Florida and Texas A&M still on deck.

Loser: Tennessee (Down to No. 18)

What a tale of two halves. Tennessee played solid in the first half, leading Georgia 21-17 at the break and were looking to pull off a big upset. The second half came around and the vaunted Georgia defense suffocated Tennessee and held their ground attack to -1 yard rushing.

Like Miami, Tennessee might be a good team, but they are a ways away from being able to compete with the likes of Georgia and Alabama.
