2. Mac Jones, QB, Alabama

Mac Jones jumps to the No. 2 spot this week after throwing for 417 yards and two touchdowns against Ole Miss. He completed 28-of-32 passes and posted the highest quarterback rating of the week.

In three games thus far, Jones has thrown for 1,101 yards, eight touchdowns, one interception and has posted the second highest QBR nationally. He should continue putting up huge numbers, throwing to the best receiving corps in the country in Devonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle and John Metchie III.

Jones looks like the best bet to lead the country in passing yards right now as his 13.2 yards per attempt is the best in the nation. He’s got his toughest matchup of the season coming up this Saturday against Georgia and arguably the best defense in the country.

If Jones is able to lead the Tide to a win and looks good doing so, he could jump to the No. 1 spot.
