3. No. 11 Texas A&M at Mississippi State

Hear me out: Texas A&M has a slight, but plausible path to the playoff. If the Aggies can remain unbeaten and Alabama wins out, the Aggies might just sneak in there at 9-1 with their only loss being to the Crimson Tide. I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but it is not as crazy as it sounds.

The toughest opponent the Aggies play the rest of the way will be either Tennessee or Auburn and neither of those teams have looked impressive of late. If Kellen Mond can play he did Saturday against Florida, the Aggies can be dangerous.

Mississippi State has come back down to earth after their Week 1 upset of LSU, suffering defeats at the hands of Arkansas and Kentucky and things won’t get any easier for the Bulldogs as they play the Aggies this weekend.

This game is worth keeping an eye on to see if Texas A&M can build on their upset of Florida last week or if they falter and get upset on the road.
