How will Indiana football fare in 2020?

  • Game 1: vs. Penn State (L) — The Hoosiers played the Nittany Lions close last season. A 50/50 game?
  • Game 2: at Rutgers (W) — The Scarlet Knights are going to be more competitive under the returning Greg Schiano, but they do not have the personnel quite yet.
  • Game 3: vs. Michigan (W) — This is the Hoosiers’ upset special. The Wolverines are in transition this is as good a time as any to get the win.
  • Game 4: at Michigan State (W) — It’s a transition year for the Spartans.
  • Game 5: at Ohio State (L) — Can Indiana keep it close this year?
  • Game 6: vs. Maryland (W) — The Terrapins should be better, but that defense is still bad.
  • Game 7: at Wisconsin (L) — This is a 50/50 game here. Wisconsin needs to prove they can survive without three of the best players in the history of that program.
  • Game 8: vs. Purdue (W) — The Boilermakers have a potent offense, but their defense is not to be trusted.

Prediction: 5-3

It’s unclear what the postseason looks like this season, but a winning record should get you to a bowl game. Indiana is not good enough to win the Big Ten, but they are good enough to ruin it for someone else.
