2. The Aggie defense has woken up, at least for now

Texas A&M’s defense has been questionable the last two weeks after holding Vanderbilt to 12 points in Week 1. They have struggled, especially within the secondary. That was a worry against a team that throws the ball a lot of the time like Mississippi State, but that wasn’t the case here.

Senior linebacker Buddy Johnson led the defense with 12 total tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack, two pass breakups and a forced fumble. Fellow linebacker Aaron Hansford was right behind him with nine tackles, a sack and a quarterback hurry.

Heck, we even almost saw a big man touchdown when Jayden Peevy picked up a loose fumble and rumbled his way towards the endzone. The team had six sacks on the day.

The Aggie defense, overall, did well. They woke up and were able to, for the most part, win the day. The question is this, after the bye week, will they be able to grow even more and takedown Feleipe Franks and an Arkansas team that gets better by the week? We will have to wait and see.
