Winner: Texas A&M (Up to No. 7)

Once again, the Aggies are winners of this week’s AP poll and the Aggies could make the claim that they are the second best team in the SEC. Everyone was watching to see if the Aggies would have a letdown against Mississippi State or if they would keep rolling and be a darkhorse for a playoff spot.

Kellen Mond was not as sharp as he was last week against Florida, but running back Isaiah Spiller had another big game and the Aggies are now 3-1 and back in the top 10.

Winner: Coastal Carolina (Up to No. 25)

Welcome to the top 25, Coastal Carolina.

The Chanticleers are 4-0 and just scored a top 25 victory over Louisiana and are now the favorites in the Sun Belt. Coastal has a high powered offense and they have been riding it to a hot start that includes a win over Kansas. I know Kansas is not exactly a good team, but Coastal Carolina led that game from start to finish and it was never in doubt and that is impressive against a Power Five opponent. They will have a chance to move up the rankings and possibly challenge for a spot in the New Year’s Six.
