5. (8) Penn State at Indiana

Penn State is in a tricky spot to open the season, as the Nittany Lions travel to Bloomington to take on Indiana, who is a sneaky team to watch in the Big Ten this season.

The Hoosiers have an explosive offense and an experienced defense that is looking to surprise a Penn State team that is short of a couple of star players. Defensive star Micah Parsons opted out of the season back in the summer and it was just revealed that running back Journey Brown will be out an indefinite amount of time due to an undisclosed injury.

This game has playoff implications because of the possibility of two Big Ten teams getting in the playoff. If Ohio State runs the table, it will be important for another team to finish with just one loss and that team could be Penn State.

The Nittany Lions are looking to start the season off with a win against the Hoosiers before the big clash with Ohio State next weekend.
