1. Sam Ehlinger’s deep ball is still among best in Big 12

Over the span of the last three meetings, Sam Ehlinger had not scored a touchdown against Baylor. That changed on Saturday as Ehlinger made his biggest impact with his arm and especially throwing the ball downfield.

Ehlinger would finish with 257 passing yards and one touchdown in the air, three in total. He had three throws of 40-plus yards, connecting with Tariq Black specifically for 72 yards.

What killed Ehlinger in the Oklahoma game was his inability to make the deep plays with his arm.

Against Baylor, that wasn’t much of an issue. Ehlinger did a great job of limiting mistakes and not doing too much.
