1. UCF vs. Houston

As the AAC race for a conference championship and the Group of Five race for the New Year’s Six takes shape, a familiar face is on the outside looking in at the front runners. While not technically out of anything yet, it has them relegated to ESPN+ to take on the Houston Cougars.

Houston, for what it’s worth, is right in the AAC race, sitting undefeated in conference play.

This isn’t a the highest profile Group of Five game of the week or even the highest profile AAC game of the week, but it should be the highest scoring.

UCF has an explosive passing attack, led by the nation’s leading passer and receiver in Dillon Gabriel and Marlon Williams, respectively. They also have an experienced running back by committee in Otis Anderson and Greg McCrae.

This is incredibly similar to how Houston is built offensively.

The Cougars look to stretch downfield for players like Marquez Stevenson, and punish you when you forget about the run with Mulbah Car and Kyle Porter.

Neither team has show much ability to stop opposing offenses, meaning this should be the most exciting game of the week, even if a lot of people forget that it’s happening.
