2. Texas at No. 6 Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State could probably be on this list every week due to being the Big 12’s lone hope for the playoff, but the Cowboys are playing in this week’s second most important game when they host Texas.

Oklahoma State answered some questions last week with its win against Iowa State, but the offense still has not been playing up to expectations so far. On the contrary, the defense has been excellent. The Cowboys have a ton of talent on offense and if they can stop turning the ball over, they can really emerge as a national threat.

Texas bounced back last week with a victory over Baylor, but that game was much closer than it should have been. Texas has a chance to try and salvage their disappointing season with an upset win over Oklahoma State and the Longhorns still have a chance at making a run to the Big 12 title game.

Oklahoma State is hoping to prove that they are legitimate playoff contenders and that is why this game has serious implications.
