2. Justin Fields accounts for all Buckeyes touchdowns

Justin Fields is the do everything quarterback for Ohio State. The ultra talented signal caller is a Heisman front runner for a reason.

Against Nebraska last week, Fields was nearly perfect, completing all but one of his 21 passes for 276 yards and two touchdowns. He also found the end zone once on the ground.

Running backs Master Teague and Trey Sermon are still a work in progress. Against the Cornhuskers they combined for 89 yards on 23 carries with Teague scoring two touchdowns. Also the Penn State rush defense is pretty stingy and could make it difficult for both backs.

Where Fields could find much of his success is through the air. After last season, Penn State looked to correct their weaknesses in the secondary. After one game, the stats might show they did a decent job against Indiana’s Michael Penix, holding him to 170 yards through the air. However, many of Penix’s passes were off target and he had receivers open due to poor coverage.

Fields is on a different level than Penix. He will be accurate with his passes and make them count. Against the Lions he will throw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns, adding a fifth touchdown from short yardage on the ground.
