1. Boise State could be the top Group of Five team

Potential is there with this Boise State team. Not many teams around the country can lose their starting quarterback right before a travel day as well as a safety and add the starting running back early in the game and still win by 19 points on the road.

Losing Hank Bachmeier before this one for undisclosed reasons was tough and then George Holani after just two carries was almost the nail in the coffin.

Boise State dominated the entire game and built a 49-24 lead before the Falcons scored one more time before the end of the game to make the final score a little closer than it really was. The Broncos dominated for 60 minutes despite Air Force’s run game finishing with over 400 yards.

The Broncos proved that they can win without their starting quarterback and running back and do so in dominant fashion. They may just be the best Group of Five team.

Boise State will get a chance to prove that against BYU next week.
