College Football Rankings 2020: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 10
By Zach Bigalke
After falling out of the AP Top 25 earlier this season with consecutive losses against Kansas State and Iowa State, Oklahoma has been a team on a mission. The Sooners were already up 21-7 against Texas Tech by the end of the first quarter, as they put themselves in position to improve to 4-2. With the shakeup in the Big 12 this week, Oklahoma finds themselves right back in the thick of the conference race.
Spencer Rattler looked sharp at the start of the game in Lubbock, completing 10 of his first dozen passes for 108 yards and a touchdown. Oklahoma’s defense snatched two interceptions of Texas Tech quarterback Henry Colombi before the first frame was even up. That allowed the Sooners to build up a big buffer that should add up to victory barring a miraculous Red Raiders turnaround.
Oklahoma will almost certainly be ranked somewhere in the low 20s when they line up to face Kansas at home in Week 10. An almost certain victory over the Jayhawks precedes an open weekend ahead of the Bedlam showdown against Oklahoma State in Norman.
