College Football 2020: Winners, losers from Week 10 AP Top 25 release
Loser: Penn State (Unranked)
Penn State is unranked for the first time since 2016.
I don’t think that Penn State is as bad as their record suggests, but Penn State is 0-2 and their hopes for a big season are all but over and that is all that matters. They were never really in the game with Ohio State on Saturday night and it might be fair to wonder how they will respond for the rest of the season.
Penn State had several stars out with injury or opting out with studs like Micah Parsons, Journey Brown and Noah Cain not playing, but this season has not gone the Nittany Lions way so far and they must respond quickly and not nosedive the rest of the way.
Loser: North Carolina (Unranked)
North Carolina has been one of the most disappointing teams in the country so far this season. They had a shocking loss to a really bad Florida State team a few weeks ago and on Saturday, they lost to a 1-4 Virginia team. Virginia is not as bad as their record suggests, but this is a game that North Carolina should have won.
Believe it or not, the Tar Heels can control their own destiny to the ACC championship game if Clemson beats Notre Dame on Saturday, but that seems more like wishful thinking at this point for the Tar Heels.
