2. Washington vs. California

You’d be excused if you forgot the Pac-12 was playing football this week. After all, it’s been two weeks since the Big Ten started their season, which was already severely delayed.

The Pac-12 is also only playing six games, which likely isn’t enough to compete for a College Football Playoff spot. In essence, they’re playing now because everyone else decided to first.

Still, the Pac-12 always produces exciting, competitive games after dark, and if defense is your thing, Washington traveling to California is for you. Both of these teams are built on the backs of strong defenses who will limit their opponent’s scoring opportunities.

They also always play tight games when they get together. California has won the last two meetings 12-10 and 20-19. It should be just as close this season.
