College Football 2020: Top 3 under-the-radar games in Week 10
1. West Virginia vs. Texas
In a difficult season for the Big 12, West Virginia has slid under the radar all season. That goes back to when Dana Holgorsen looked at the roster he had built, and ran to Houston. Neal Brown didn’t have much to work with, but he took them to the edge of bowl eligibility in 2019.
Quietly, he has his Mountaineers at 4-2 in 2020.
Texas has been loud, but in a frustrating way. Despite a new defensive coordinator in Chris Ash, they are struggling on defense. Meanwhile, the offense is totally reliant on Sam Ehlinger. Their 4-2 record is a disappointment, with losses to a struggling TCU and a vulnerable Oklahoma. The Longhorns have been pushed aside as, “Another year of Texas not being back.”
The trick of West Virginia-Texas is that is should actually be a great game. Both of these teams have been in close games almost every week. Both teams are coming off upset wins. West Virginia boasts a strong defense, while Texas should bring some offensive firepower.
