Texas A&M Football: 3 takeaways from blowout win over South Carolina
3. South Carolina still has questions at quarterback
Colin Hill was awful on Saturday night. He went 8-for-21 with 66 yards and two interceptions before getting benched in the fourth quarter for last year’s starter and current backup, Ryan Hilinski.
A lot of the blame cannot be placed on Hill since the Gamecocks have given up 1,071 yards and 100 points in losses to LSU and the Aggies its past two games. It’s hard to play catch-up when your defense hasn’t been providing any help.
The Gamecocks haven’t had a solid starter behind center since Jake Bentley. Will Muschamp will need to find his quarterback for the future if he wants to win and keep his job.
The Gamecocks square off against the Ole Miss next Saturday on the SEC Network.
As for the Aggies, they’re heading up to Knoxville to face the Tennessee Volunteers at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Do you think the Aggies will make the College Football Playoff?
