2. Zach Wilson may be best QB not named Trevor Lawrence

Look around the nation and try to name two or three quarterbacks better than Zach Wilson right now. If you try really hard, you still probably can’t.

Trevor Lawrence is the best quarterback in college football right now and behind him is a mixture of Wilson, Mac Jones and Justin Fields. Which of those guys is right behind Lawrence as the No. 2 quarterback in the country? It’s hard to argue that it’s not Wilson.

Wilson had yet another incredible game against a ranked Boise State team, completing 22-of-28 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns. He was nearly perfect against the best team he’s seen all season and now has a total of 2,512 yards and 22 touchdowns with just two picks and the 10th-best QBR in the nation. Oh, and he has a 75 percent completion rate.

BYU has to be pleased with the emergence of Wilson this season and the junior has played himself into a potential first-round pick. He might be the second quarterback taken after Lawrence.
