2. Houston (vs. USF)

Let’s get one thing clear, USF has been awful at football the past two seasons. It’s a complete rebuild, by a new staff, during a pandemic. Their defense has been suspect, which is a lot better than the offense, which has been nonexistent.

Houston, meanwhile, continues to be disappointing ever since Tom Herman left for Texas. Its offense is explosive but inconsistent, with a defense that is improving but still struggles to stop good offenses.

This game should be a get right game for Houston, but it was supposed to get Memphis back on track last week, too. That didn’t work out as USF went into the Liberty Bowl and gave Memphis a scare, holding a two-score lead in the fourth quarter. Except, Brady White has proved to be the epitome of clutch this season, and took Memphis back to win by a point.

Houston is going to give up points, can USF take the next step as a program?
