1. Alabama Crimson Tide (6-0)

The Alabama Crimson Tide were on a bye this past weekend as they sat back and watched the chaos unfold. They watched as the No. 1 Clemson Tigers went into double overtime without star quarterback Trevor Lawrence at No. 4 Notre Dame. The Tigers would go on to lose to the Fighting Irish 47-40.

The Crimson Tide, along with Notre Dame, remain one of the only undefeated teams in the nation that has more than three wins. After several weeks, the Crimson Tide are showing that they are one of the most consistent teams in the nation. Their offense is elite while their defense was getting better each week.

The Tide took over as the No. 1 team in the nation with Clemson’s double-overtime loss. Alabama is the most likely to finish the regular season undefeated including the conference championship game. The SEC West has declined in terms of toughness — for example, Auburn and defending national champion LSU.

On Tuesday, the matchup between the Crimson Tide traveling to Baton Rouge to take on LSU was postponed to the development of COVID-19 in Baton Rouge. The date is up in the air but it could potentially be Dec. 19.

Regardless of how many games will be played, the No. 1 Crimson Tide are one of the favorites to make the 2020 College Football Playoff.
