USC Trojans. player. 808. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 19. 2-0. won 34-30 at Arizona

USC survived a 34-30 shootout in Tucson against Arizona in Week 11, improving to 2-0 in the shortened Pac-12 season. The win ensured that the Trojans will remain in the top 20 of the AP Top 25 for another week, and in the hunt for conference spoils. As we approach the launch of the College Football Playoff selection committee’s rankings, the Trojans also find themselves well within striking distance of entering that discussion as well.

Kedon Slovis finished with 325 yards and a touchdown on 30-of-43 passing, but USC also benefitted from a deep backfield. Markese Stepp led the way with 82 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Stephen Carr added 80 yards and a score on a dozen handoffs, while Vavae Malepeia also punched in a score on the ground. USC’s defense gave up more than 400 yards but also forced a Grant Gunnell interception on Arizona’s opening drive that proved the only turnover of the game.

With a second win under their belt, the Trojans turn their attention to a second straight road game in Week 12 against Utah in Salt Lake City. Colorado and Washington State also loom on the schedule before the regular-season finale for the Victory Bell against UCLA.
